Terms of sale

1. Who we sell to

The seller is Baltic Frame SIA, registration No. 42103095794, VAT No. LV42103095794, "Vismaņi k-1", Mārupes pag., Mārupes nov., LV-2167, Latvia (“we”). We sell only to business customers — by placing an order you confirm that you are buying for your trade, business or profession. We may decline or cancel — with a full refund — any order that appears to be a consumer purchase. Cut-to-size goods are in any case made to your specification, which the law exempts from the distance-selling withdrawal right.

2. Ordering and confirmation

Your order — submitted through the order form, by email, or by accepting a quote — is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm the order by email; the price on our order confirmation is the contract price, and the invoice will match it. Individual quotes are valid for 30 days unless a different validity is stated on them. Prices on our published price lists are indicative until confirmed — they can change between list editions.

3. Prices and VAT

All prices are in euros and exclude VAT. Where our price lists or the order page say packaging is included, it is. VAT is applied on the invoice by destination. Latvian buyers pay 21% Latvian VAT. EU deliveries outside Latvia are invoiced at 0% VAT (reverse charge) with a valid EU VAT number — the online order form requires one; for orders placed by email without a valid EU VAT number, Latvian VAT at 21% is added. If your VAT number cannot be validated in VIES, or later proves invalid for the date of supply, we invoice or re-invoice Latvian VAT at 21%. Exports outside the EU (Norway and Switzerland) are invoiced at 0% VAT, with import VAT and duties handled by the buyer.

4. Payment

We invoice by email; payment is by standard SEPA bank transfer — no card or online payment. Unless we have agreed other terms with you in writing, invoices are payable before dispatch. Late payments accrue statutory late-payment interest, and we may hold further orders and deliveries until overdue amounts are settled.

5. Delivery

Stock items ship immediately; everything else is ordered from the Groglass factory and ships within the lead time stated on the price list, order page or order confirmation. Lead times are our best estimate, not a guaranteed date. Delivery is by the carrier we select. For Lifetime Acrylic orders, shipping is charged at the flat zone rate shown on the order page; sample-only orders ship free; for destinations outside the listed zones, shipping is quoted on the invoice before dispatch. For glass, delivery terms are stated on the applicable price list or quote. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Transport damage — check on arrival

Glazing is fragile, so this is the clause that matters most. Inspect the consignment on delivery. If the packaging shows visible damage, note it on the carrier’s delivery document before signing. Report any breakage, damage or shortage to sales@balticframe.com within 5 business days of delivery, with photos of the packaging and the affected sheets. We will replace the affected goods or credit them — your choice. Claims made after this window, or for goods already cut, processed or framed, cannot be accepted.

7. Returns

Cut-to-size pieces are made to your dimensions and cannot be returned. Standard sheets and boxes may be returned only by prior written agreement, unopened and in their original undamaged packaging, at your cost.

8. Conformity and warranty

We supply genuine Artglass products conforming to the manufacturer’s (Groglass) published specifications. Store, handle and clean the glazing according to the official instructions on our downloads page — defects caused by improper handling, processing or storage are not covered. Cut-to-size work is cut to a ±1 mm tolerance; pieces outside that tolerance are non-conforming and will be replaced or credited under this section. If goods do not conform to specification, tell us promptly after discovery; we will replace them or credit the price. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the affected goods; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or the cost of framing work. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — for example, liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Retention of title

Goods remain our property until paid in full. Until then, you may use and resell them in the ordinary course of business, but not pledge them as security.

10. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control — including manufacturer supply interruptions, carrier failures, strikes or natural events. If such an event lasts longer than 60 days, either party may cancel the affected order without liability; prepaid amounts for undelivered goods are refunded.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms and all orders are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia; the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably are resolved exclusively by the courts of the Republic of Latvia.

12. Everything else

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We process your order details as described in our privacy policy. The version of these terms published on this page on the day you place your order is the one that applies — we will send you the version applicable to your order on request. Questions?
