Artglass AR 70 is where most framing customers first see the difference: reflections virtually eliminated, colours true, detail sharp. It is the accessible entry into anti-reflective glazing — a dramatic upgrade from regular glass at a price point that works for everyday framing.

The low-iron substrate guarantees true colours, while the invisible magnetron-sputtered coating cuts reflection to around 1% — compared to roughly 8% for regular or anti-glare glass. Its 70% UV block is a significant improvement over the 20–45% protection of ordinary glazing.

Appreciated worldwide for its consistent quality and elegant green residual reflection, AR 70 cuts and frames exactly like regular glass, from either side.

Questions

About AR 70

Is 70% UV protection enough?

For reproducible work — prints, posters, standard photography — yes: it is a significant upgrade over the 20–45% protection of regular glass. For originals, signed editions or anything that cannot be reprinted, we recommend a conservation-grade product with a 99% UV block.

What is the difference between anti-reflective and anti-glare (non-glare) glass?

Anti-glare glass has an etched, matte surface that diffuses reflections rather than removing them — it looks slightly hazy, especially in deep frames. Anti-reflective glass like AR 70 uses optical coatings to eliminate reflections while staying perfectly smooth and sharp.

Can I cut AR 70 with my regular equipment?

Yes. AR 70 cuts with the same tools and score-and-break method as regular glass, from either side. Many framers generate extra profit by cutting Artglass sheets to size in-house.
